Garden 4 Less expand through new unit in Burton
Garden 4 Less, the on-line retailer of garden equipment and machinery, has signalled an increase in growth through the purchase of new premises in Burton-on-Trent.
The property, acquired for £950,000 extends to 19,050 sq ft on 1.57 acres of land and is located at the scheme known as Althea off Wellington Road in Burton-on-Trent. The property was acquired from a joint investment from Craigard Investments LLP and Ryon Properties, who purchased the site in January 2007. Five out of the six units have already been snapped up by Johnson Controls and Lichfield International Freight Terminal. Gadsby Orridge and Vail Williams acted on behalf of Craigard throughout the deal.
Following this deal, only one of the six units is now available with strong interest being expressed in the final unit of 22,597 sq ft, which is a significant achievement considering that an extensive refurbishment programme was only completed six months ago.
Garden 4 Less has experienced a growth period, which has led to the purchase. The organisation, operated through the Website, www.garden4less.co.uk, sells leading branded garden goods at extremely affordable prices.
There was a clear need for a site in addition to its Garden Centre in Mickleover, due to the increasing popularity of the website, with orders increasing on a year-by-year basis: “We needed to house more stock so that we can get orders out to our customers faster,” comments Managing Director Robert Osborne. “The new site will allow us speedier distribution of our garden equipment, as the location has great transport links. Our delivery times are very important to us, so this site will ensure that we can get products to our clients in the fastest possible time, as well as having a great base from which to work.”
