Craigard Secures Planning for 55,439 sq ft of Prime Warehouse Development in Huntingdon

Craigard announces that it has secured planning permission for a new Grade A spec industrial development at Tower Close, Huntingdon.

The scheme, known as Tower Gate, will provide the rare opportunity within Huntingdon to occupy one of two new, high quality industrial/warehouse buildings in a prominent location off St. Peter’s Road, the principle commercial road in Huntingdon. Hertfordshire based construction company Glencar has commenced work in the early part of the New Year on the two units known as TG 12 and TG 44 which range in size from 13,089 sq ft and 42,350 sq ft respectively.

Tower Gate, Huntingdon is strategically located between the midlands and the east coast ports near the intersection of the newly improved A14 and A1. The junction of the M1, M6 and A14 is located 48 miles west along the A14 while the port of Felixstowe is located 48 miles east along the A14.

The scheme is centred within the Cam-Ox Arc, a cross government initiative to deliver new homes, commercial development and transport infrastructure across the Oxbridge corridor to support economic growth across the 5 counties including Cambridgeshire until 2050. Huntingdon’s positioning at the centre of the three sub economies of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough reaps the benefits from the outreach of these world class R&D, Life Science and Manufacturing bases of the Eastern region.

Both of these self-contained buildings have fully secure yards. The properties are to be built with 10% first floor offices with excellent car parking facilities, making the scheme ideal for a plethora of knowledge based, manufacturing and urban logistics occupiers. The location not only offers excellent prominence and road links but is also within walking distance of numerous amenities for employees.
