Craigard complete Darlington make over
Craigard acquired 57-67 Northgate in Darlington in January of this year. Over the last twelve months it has been busy on site.
In September the British Heart Foundation moved from their small Kiosk unit at 57 Northgate to the larger shop at 61 Northgate taking a new ten year lease at £45k per annum rising to £50k per annum. A great result and a vote of confidence for the location. They are a popular retailer and very strong financially.
Since then a new roof with a twenty year guarantee has been laid, the front elevation – previously an uninspiring brick finish has been attractively rendered in keeping with the MacDonald’s unit next door.
The Kiosk unit vacated by British Heart Foundation has now been let on a short-term basis to a local card retailer – Christmas Box. They are trialling the unit with a view to taking a longer term lease.
Paul Foster – Managing Partner of Craigard commented “it’s been a busy year up in Darlington and we are probably twelve months ahead of our business plan. We are grateful for the support of British Heart Foundation and welcome Paul Liddle of Christmas Box to the scheme. Exciting times”
