New Restaurant on its way in Central Southampton in Latest Letting
Craigard has let 17 Above Bar in Southampton to Shanghai Bay.
The restaurant is relocating its well-established Portswood site to a city centre location, in a deal worth £47,500 p.a. The first floor restaurant and flat was originally let to Ocean Dragon, which had been a long term tenant within the building. Its lease has been surrendered as part of the transaction.
“We’re delighted that this space has been snapped up by Shanghai Bay, which will be targeting the local Chinese community with traditional Chinese food, specialising in Dim Sum,” comments David Foster. “It is a popular restaurant, with a large following, so a move to the city centre should only increase its presence. The site is in a fantastic location - a pedestrianised section of a major shopping centre in the South of England – and will be fully refurbished by the new tenant. Another great letting, which the syndication we manage this property for are definitely pleased with.”
Osmond Brookes and Molyneux Rose acted on behalf of Craigard.
